Nag for ADHD and AuDHD brains

A task tracker that will not take a hint

It asks if you’re done. Then it asks again.

Nag is a to-do app for brains that lose the thread. Every task gets a time. When it arrives, Nag asks whether it’s complete, and keeps asking, louder and more often, until you answer honestly.

Windows for a 2 spoons task. Every snooze makes the next one shorter.
I’m out of spoons
The alert

Three answers. No dismiss.

The alert takes the whole screen and stays until you pick one. Every answer is recorded, so the pattern shows up later.

Yes, it’s done

Then one more question: was the spoon estimate too low, about right or too high? That is how Nag learns which tasks you misjudge.

Not yet, snooze

A 2-spoon task offers 5, 10 or 20 minutes. Every snooze shrinks the next menu, and nothing can be as long as the last one, down to a one-minute floor.

I’m out of spoons

Park it for the rest of today, this week or until next month. The cascade resets when it comes back. The deferral still counts, double, in your friction score.

Escalation

Each snooze makes the next nag worse.

Four tiers. The colour, the copy and the sound all escalate. In the app it re-pulses every 30 seconds while an alert sits unanswered.

Alert 1 · calm
Is this complete?
Its time anchor just arrived.
Alert 2 · firm
Still not done?
Snoozed once. The windows are shorter now.
Alert 3 · loud
Third alert. Is it complete?
Snoozed twice. It only gets shorter from here.
Alert 4 · hostile
Nag #4. Do the thing.
Snoozed 3 times. This will not stop until you answer honestly.
Spoons, not guilt

See which tasks keep catching fire.

Rate every task from 1 to 5 spoons. The number sets your first snooze window: 5, 10, 20, 45 or 90 minutes. After you finish, Nag asks whether that estimate held up.

The Friction tab adds it all up by type of task, spoon size and part of the day: what you snooze, what you park, what you underestimate. A pattern you can see is a pattern you can plan around.

Built to be heard

Everything an ignorable app gets wrong.

Breaks through Focus

On iOS, nags are time-sensitive notifications. Done, snooze and out of spoons are right on the notification, no unlock needed.

Nags your desk too

Web push reaches your laptop with the tab closed. Ignore it and the server nags again every ten minutes, up to six times per alert.

Say it to Siri

“Add a task in Nag.” Then dictate the whole thing: call the insurance company tomorrow morning, admin, three spoons. It lands with its time anchor set.

Exact or fuzzy, never none

Anchor a task to 9:40, or just to “afternoon”. A time is mandatory. Being vague about which time is allowed.

Offline first, synced everywhere

Every device keeps a full copy and works without a connection. Changes merge when you are back. One emailed code signs you in; there is no password to lose.

Friction, measured

Types of task ranked by how often you snooze them and how badly you misjudge them. Visible, not shameful.

Fair warning

Nag is annoying on purpose.

If you want a gentle app that lets things slide, this is not it. If you want something that treats a missed task like a fire alarm, and then shows you which tasks keep setting it off, open it.
